The Lebanese Child Welfare Association visits the Child Custody Association in Zahle and meets with the Bekaa Associations
The administrative body of the Lebanese Union for Child Welfare, headed by Mrs. Fadia Al-Asaad, and the membership of Mai Serbieh Shehab, Amira Sukkar, Amal Shbeir, Lina Farah Tamer, Hana Makki, Rola Maalouf, Saadi Kronfol, Jamal Mahini, Hana Khaled, and Federation Advisor Azzam Houry.
The Federation delegation was received by the head of the nursery, Ms. Amal Ayoub and Ms. Shadia Gharra.
At the outset, a welcoming speech from the President of the Child Custody praised his efforts and the efforts of the affiliated associations in the service of the child. She thanked Mrs. Kawther Abdel Fattah, Chairperson of the Cultural and Social Forum in the Bekaa for her efforts to make this meeting a success.
Then a speech from the President of the Lebanese Union for Child Welfare, Mrs. Fadia Al-Asaad, thanked the Child Custody Association for the generous invitation through which it provided the opportunity to meet with a large number of Bekaa associations that deal with children and also thanked Ms. Kawther Abdel Fattah, President of the Cultural and Social Forum for her efforts in the success This meeting.
Mrs. Lina Tamer gave a speech, supported by a documentary about the founding of the Federation, its activities and future plans of action.
Then the speech of the Union’s adviser, Mr. Azzam Houry, where he expressed the vision of the Union in terms of networking with associations from the Bekaa and to be coordinated between the associations that are concerned with the same objectives to develop their work.
A number of representatives of the associations in the Bekaa followed the speeches: Amir Abu Adela, President of the Society for Vision Care, Mrs. Kawthar Abdel Fattah, Mr. Khattar Hammoud, President of Hearts Society from Nour, Ms. Ghada Abou Metou and Manal Koueider from Dma Association, President of Helwa Ya Baladi Association Fatima Hajj Shehadeh and Mrs. Mariam Haidar, Dr. Walid Sarhan of pure hearts, Ms. Samar Nahas of Hamaya, and Mrs. Amira Sukkar, President of the Union for the Protection of Juveniles in Lebanon.
The meeting achieved its goal in terms of networking and uniting efforts for social and charitable work.
The gift of the meeting was an artistic presentation by Choir Cluster led by Mrs. Rosy Ghara, where a group of young men and women presented a bouquet of Arab and foreign songs.
At the end, the attendees answered the invitation of the child’s nursery for a morning breakfast prepared by the association that included many famous Zahlawi dishes
